Association of HIP Providers (AHIPP)

The Association of Home Information Pack Providers (AHIPP), was set up to ensure that there would be proper representation for those companies who will be at the heart of a new industry – the Home Information Pack.

AHIPP helped represent HIP providers to lobby the government to ensure the Home Information Pack legislation was implemented.

It now has an active role in providing a platform to standardise work practices and give the consumer a method to complain about a HIP provider who is a member of AHIPP via the HIP Code.

Some activities that AHIPP is involved are:

  • public affairs programs, engaging with Government, politicians and other related stakeholders
  • a working group structure furthering the agenda of full HIPs, including home conditions reports and energy performance certificates, legal and leasehold issues including driving forward sensible and timely provision of leasehold information along with the development of a national set of conveyancing protocols. All issues facing the search industry such as access and charging, as well as the provision of full environmental reporting
