Currently these searches are not compliant for a Home Information Pack, but can be used in the normal conveyancing process, if needed.

The private water and drainage search is undertaken personally at the various water authorities throughout England and Wales.

The private water and drainage report includes the following:

• drainage enquires
• water enquires
• sewer information
• a colour coded plan of the public sewers surrounding the property

Prices for this report range from £30 to £45.

Due to certain information not currently being made available (to personal search firms by the water companies) the private water and drainage report is unable to provide some of the answers required for it to be used in a Home Information Pack.

The report does, however, provide all the information required for conveyancing purposes.
